Cheezious Tax Explained: Why Paying by Card Is Cheaper
The price on the Cheezious menu is usually not the price you pay. Sales tax is added at checkout, and how much depends on your city and whether you pay cash or card.
The short answer
At 45 of 49 branches, menu prices exclude tax. Those branches charge a higher rate on cash than on card or online payments, so paying by card saves money on every order. At the other 4 branches (Sahiwal, Mian Channu, Pattoki and Okara) the tax is already in the menu price.
Tax rates by city
These rates come from each branch's settings in the official Cheezious ordering app. The last column shows how much card payment saves on a Rs 2,000 order.

Why card payments are taxed less
Sales tax on restaurant bills in Pakistan is collected by the provinces and the federal capital. To encourage digital payments, these tax authorities set a lower rate for bills paid by card or other digital means. Cheezious applies the rate of the place where your branch is, which is why the gap between cash and card differs between cities.
